What’s new on Tubi in September 2024

A woman holds onto the shoulders of a man.
20th Century Fox

Tubi is standing out from the rest of the competition. How so? Well, The New York Times just ran an article about how the streamer is grabbing more viewers than more high-profile and expensive rivals like Max, Paramount+, and Apple TV+.

To those who have sampled Tubi, that shouldn’t be much of a surprise. Tubi is an excellent platform to stream classic films, hidden gems you may have forgotten about, and cheesy B-movies and TV shows. Tubi has a lot of content, and September promises even more entertainment for all kinds of viewers.

All titles below begin streaming for free on September 1, unless otherwise noted:

3 BritBox shows you should watch in August 2024
The cast of Why Didn't They Ask Evans?

The era of streaming has pretty definitive pros and cons. Cable was expensive, but it led to a more linear experience where you know what you subscribed to, and could watch what you wanted only when it was on. Streaming allows for more choice, but with more choice comes more options, both for streaming services and for which shows to watch on those services.

BritBox has emerged as a favorite for those who love British television in particular. British TV has long played by different rules than its American counterpart, and their shows are often shorter and more star-studded as a result. These are three selections from BritBox that you should definitely make time for this August:

Not to be deterred, we have put together a new list of three underrated action movies on Amazon Freevee that you should watch in August. The only things that connect these flicks is that they have really good casts and they're a cut above the rest of the action movies on Freevee.
