As a major competitor to Steam, Epic Games has built up a strong library of some of the best PC games out there. One of the big draws to the platform is the selection of Epic Games Store free games that come out each week to beef up your library. At this point, it has become a fully social platform. However, we can all feel a little antisocial at times and just want to play alone without our friends sending messages or knowing what we're up to. Let's quickly help you learn how to appear offline.

How to appear offline on Epic Games

Sadly, there isn't a way to simply appear offline on Epic Games like there is on Steam or PS5. However, there are ways to achieve the same result.

Step 1: Open your Epic Games launcher.

Step 2: Select your Profile icon in the upper-right corner.

The Epic Games home screen.

Step 3: Make sure the Enable Offline Mode Browsing box is checked.

The Epic Games settings.

Step 4: You can now disconnect your computer from the internet, restart it, and still have access to your Epic Games library. This won't allow you to play online games, of course.

Your only other methods to play Epic Games without your friends knowing would be to play without signing in to your account, though this prevents you from saving any progress, or if the game you are playing happens to have an appear offline option within it. Hopefully, Epic Games implements an official way to appear offline soon. Until then, these are best alternatives.

How to change worlds in Once Human

Survival games tend to be some of the best multiplayer games on PC, and Once Human is no exception. This massive world is far too big and dangerous to fully explore and conquer by yourself, meaning you will always be dumped into a world filled with other players. You initially can choose if you want to play in a world that allows for PvP or is strictly PvE so no one ganks you while you're having fun decorating your base, but what if you want to play with friends who end up in a different world than you?

Each server has multiple worlds within it, so coordinating to play on the same server doesn't guarantee you will find them right away. There's no need to worry right now about linking up with console players since we don't know when Once Human will come to consoles just yet. You won't find an easy way to change worlds in the menus, so here's all you need to know about changing worlds in Once Human.

How to share your base with friends in Once Human
A base built on a truck in Once Human.

Cooperation is key to making any progress in Once Human. Once you jump into a server and join the same world as your friends, one of the first orders of business will be to establish a base of operations. The best survival games all give you tons of customization and building options, and Once Human is no exception. However, you can only build within the limits of your own territory and, by default, no one else can build on your space either. While you could each just build your bases next to one another, it's much more fun to collaborate and help build one communal base. Here's how you can share a base with friends in Once Human.
